Psalm 84:1-5a

To the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.

Though written by Israelites to be sung by the children of Israel, this psalm has a great deal of meaning for the Christian as well as to the children of Israel.

“How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of host! My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” Psalm 84:1-2.

Psalm 7:6-17, God My Trust

“O Lord My God, in You I put my trust; save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me, lest they tear me like a lion, rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver.” Psalm 7:1-2.

“Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies, and awake for me to the judgment You have commanded! So the congregation of the peoples shall surround You; for their sakes, therefore, return on high. The Lord shall judge the peoples; judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within me.” Psalm 7:6-8.

Psalm 99:6-9

“The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved! The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awesome name – He is holy. The King’s strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool – He is holy.” Psalm 99:1-5.

Goliath’s Sword

“Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word. I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter then honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” Psalm 119:97-104.
