“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” John 6:37.
It is not as though the Father has selected some to send to Jesus and left others out; rather it is that the Father is teaching everyone about Himself; those who are teachable, or receptive, He gives to Jesus.
Jesus has promised to take them in, no matter whom, “…the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” As a result, a teachable person will listen to the gospel of Jesus Christ with an open heart. Folks like this are a lot like those in the city of Berea.
“These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.” Acts 17:11-12.
It is not as the world’s lie tells you, no one expects you to blindly accept Christ as your savior; you are expected to investigate with an open heart which is the least a person can do when making a life and death choice.
This is the villainy of Satan’s lie to this generation, the children people call snowflakes. These millennials have been indoctrinated from youth by the schools, colleges and the media that America’s system of government is oppressive and that Christianity is evil.
They have been taught revisionist history, and will not be untaught because their teachers, heroes, and stars believe and continually reinforce these things in their flint hard hearts. Satan has created a nut that cannot be cracked. If not for Jesus, Lord of all things.
Pity these poor young fools my friends, and pray for Christ to break the shell. After the rapture and when all law and order fails, these fey creatures will be the bewildered victims of a world gone mad.
“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.” John 6:38-39.
We see again in verse 38 that it was by the Father’s will that Jesus came to this earth, reminding us that God the Father loves us just as much as Jesus does.
This is an important reality, God loves us, He loves you.
The thinking throughout the ages is that God is some white haired old man who cannot wait to get His hands on us so He can grind us to powder for being such sinful rebellious people.
This is the description of an evil old fool not the God of the heavens and the earth.
It is true, there is a wrath of God but that wrath is against sin and Christ has taken that wrath upon Himself, giving us the option of either accepting His sacrifice or keeping the wrath upon ourselves.
If we choose to keep the wrath of God directed upon us we will find ourselves in a hopeless place indeed, flung into the far reaches of the lake of fire for eternity where there is no God.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress [hold down] the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…” Romans 1:18-22.
“God is a just judge, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts. Behold, the wicked travails with iniquity, conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.” Psalm 7:11-16.
One thing can be learned from the above passages is that God judges wickedness right here on earth, as well as at the end of life where the sinner finds himself in hell. Sinners seem to think that they have it made here, this is not true, and their lives are an uphill battle, whether they know it or not.
Speaking of the wicked, the psalmist says this.
“Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction. Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.” Psalm 73:18-19.
“He who is often reproved, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1.
“Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who ‘will render to each one according to his deeds’…” Romans 2:4-6.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7.
Did you notice that the unteachable or unreceptive person is mentioned at least 3 times in the above passages?
These are folks who “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” Romans 1:18, “he who is often reproved, and hardens his neck” Psalm 29:1, “in accordance with your hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath” Romans 2:5.
So while it is true that God is a just judge it still remains that He loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for sin. God created us to be with Him for eternity, not to judge us or be separated from us forever. That He hates us is a mindset that needs to be eliminated.
At the same time it must be understood that this country is being judged along with the rest of the world for its unbelief and rejection of Christ.
Wildfires, shooting rampages, droughts, runaway crime, lax morals and work ethics, acceptance of vile perversions, corruption in government, stupefying national debt, our enemies, which are many, sneering at us and attacking us with impunity.
Many of you may have grown up in this world being in your twenties or thirties; but I assure you, this is not normal. Even when this was a Christian country there were many problems, but nowhere near what it is like now.
While I do not believe that many of the things concerning Israel in the Old Testament apply to the Christian; I do believe that the principles that God uses with them will be the same no matter what era we live in.
For instance, the principle that you reap what you sow is taught in both Old and New Testament. By this we can know how God will deal with a nation that rejects Him.
Here is what He said to Israel and we can see it happening in this country right now.
If Israel followed the Lord, they had this promise:
“And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.” Deuteronomy 28:13.
If Israel fell into idolatry, rejecting the Lord, this was just part of the curse:
“The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.” Deuteronomy 28:43-44.
While the alien in this country does not lend to us we give them money as though they had. We are also indebted to a communist country and others who would destroy us if possible. We are becoming no longer the head but the tail. Yes God does judge, but it is not because we are innocent.
Muslim aliens have literally taken over sovereign countries like Sweden, Germany, France, and England.
They did not invade those countries; they were invited in and given money and lodging! And benefits which the citizens of those countries need for themselves are given to those who would destroy them.
It was the Father’s love that brought the Christ down to us.
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8.
“This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.” John 6:39.
This is eternal security, that it is the Father’s will that those who belong to Christ be kept secure to the day of resurrection. If we cannot be secure in the hands of the omnipotent Godhead, then there is no hope for any of us.
Yet we are secure, it is His promise, and Satan who is nothing more than a created being has no power whatsoever over God, or those who are His.
“And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40.
This is the promise that those who see the Son and believe in Him in their heart; for we can see all of who He is in our minds. And if we accept that He is who He says He is, the Savior of the world, we will have everlasting life with a glorious promise of a future that is unimaginable.
“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’” 1 Corinthians 2:9.
