You cannot prove that there is a God. Have you heard that one? Is it true? The only real opposition to God’s existence is the theory of evolution; that and willful unbelief.

We look out into a starry night and see countless stars and galaxies and have found that they run like an atomic clock; in fact we set our clocks and assorted instruments by them.

It is hard to picture an exploding universe, a Big Bang, being quite as precise. In fact if you have ever seen an explosion near you or on television you have probably noticed the complete randomness as an object goes from one place to all over.

True there are certain blast patterns and of course buildings are collapsed precisely with planned explosions, but the blasts themselves are still chaotic.

There is no more reason to believe that billions of stars were created by a random explosion, than to set a firecracker off in your hand and expect it to improve your golf swing.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament [expanse of heaven] shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.” Psalm 19:1-4a.

“There is no speech nor language”, where men cannot understand what is being said by what is being seen.

We are used to seeing similar signs daily, a red circle with a red line slashing across it over a smoking cigarette, or over an arrow bent to the left or right, or over a stick man walking, or over the letter P.

No smoking, no left or right turn, no walkway, and no parking. The world around us speaks a universal language understandable to all.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress [hold down] the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:18-21.

“Biologists must constantly keep in mind that what they see was not designed, but evolved.” Francis Crick, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA.

“Then God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth’; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day [24 hours].” Genesis 1:11-13.

“Then God said, ‘Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.’ So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind [species], and every winged bird according to its kind [species]. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.’ So the evening and the morning were the fifth day [24 hours].” Genesis 1:20-23.

A certain woman stated that scientific creationism was not a science like the theory of evolution. She was then asked if she believed that we evolved from a rock; her answer was no. But upon reflection she had to admit that all things evolved from non-organic material, rocks.

A rock, science postulates that upon cooling of the earth water started to condense into oceans and at some point the chemicals that form life gathered into a pool of what they called a primordial soup.

Now the term soup is intentionally misleading. Soup as you know is made of things like carrots, tomatoes, noodles or beef, etc. These things are all organic; this primordial pool would contain nothing organic, not even pond scum.

Then lightening struck and somehow formed a living cell. Your science teacher in school probably went up to the board and drew a cell consisting of a cell wall, cytoplasm and a nucleus, this circle with a large circle in the center would give the impression that the whole process is simple and doable.

This ignores the fact that the nucleus would be extremely complex and capable of tasks as complicated as a handheld calculator, perhaps more, and without outside help.

It should be pointed out that the cell is easily as complicated as the human body when you add in the other components, such as, mitochondria, ribosome, lysosome, vacuole, golgi, centrioles and microtubules, to name a few; each of which carries out a complicated function.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:14-16.

This certainly elevates human life above something that crawled out of the ooze.

When the famous comedian Charlie Chaplain was informed that there was definitely no life on Mars, he replied, “Suddenly I feel so alone.”

Yet Psalm 139 tells us that we are not alone, God is always near.

Returning to our primordial pool, the process is more complicated than lightening striking a puddle of chemicals.

Protein is known as the building block of life, and it takes more than one protein to make a cell. There are some 20 amino acids, and a protein may have a chain of fifty to several thousand amino acids lined up (polypeptide chain) to make one protein.

These amino acids have to line up in a proper sequence to form the right chain. Just as the letters in the alphabet have to line up correctly to make sense; for instance, xislrmuwqgzv, is unintelligible, but, “the sign says no entry”, is understood.

So too when amino acids line up in correct sequence and are acted upon by the proper enzymes a polypeptide chain is created, this chain then folds up upon itself and becomes a protein. The 20 amino acids, by the way, had to have evolved somehow; but how?

Deoxyribonucleic acid, DNA, was discovered by Crick and Watson, not invented by them, every self replicating cell has DNA within it; and the cell in the theoretical primordial pool had to have this complicated set of instructions in its nucleus for reproduction.

This double helix, like a ladder that has been twisted creates another cell, a twin, by a series of complex chemical reactions that cannot be explained here and would not be understood by most of us if it were; even the scientist that study them have difficulty.

Every American and European is taught evolution as fact practically from birth. As a result, scientists, professors, and laymen accept it without really examining it and build their lives and philosophies around something that is taken on nothing more than faith.

Is this just a load of religious claptrap? Before you decide, remember that the preceding paragraphs above are hard science, not hysterical arguments. You alone are responsible for your decisions; choose wisely.

Bearing in mind that evolution depends on time, plus chance, plus the impersonal; let us assume that this event occurs and we have a full blown cell here.

It takes energy to replicate, what did our newborn cell eat?

Cells today seem to feed on organic material only, so one would have to assume that it fed on what? We can give this one up too and assume that it fed on the inorganic chemicals in its water. You must see this; our cell came into existence from a dead rock covered with water.

All right, now our cell is eating some unknown substance. This would mean that the cell is multiplying at an incredible rate (no predators) and the oceans would soon be completely filled with a gelatinous mass of cells, perhaps within weeks or less.

A symbiotic relationship depends on two different creatures working together to live. They are impossible to explain in evolutionary terms.

You have seen the nature shows that show a deep sea fish with a glowing bacteria living in pockets under its eyes; the glow attracts prey which the fish eats and the bacteria consume the leftovers, so to speak. Without each other the other one dies, how did they get together?

In a sense these symbiotic relationships extend to other things in creation; for instance plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, and animals (including cells) take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide.

If memory serves me correctly plant life is alkaline and animal life is acidic, thus canceling one another out and maintaining a correct ph balance for life on earth.

This brings up the question; did the gelatinous mass of cells mentioned earlier die out from its own acidity, or suffocate from the total exhaustion of earth’s oxygen, because plant life had not yet evolved to replenish the oxygen supply?

The process of evolution now has to start over. At the risk of over-using the term, a symbiotic relationship exists between plant life and animal life. This is something that stretches the phrase, time, plus chance, plus the impersonal to the limit.

“For God is not the author of confusion [disorder] but of peace…” 1 Corinthians 14:33a.

“O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions – this great and wide sea, in which are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great.” Psalm 104:24-25.

“He [God] heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises on the harp to our God, who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains. He gives to the beast its food, and to the young ravens that cry.” Psalm 147:3-9.

“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him [praise, by their existence], sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created. He has also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away. Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the depths; fire and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling His word; mountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars; beasts and all cattle; creeping things and flying fowl; kings of the earth and all peoples; princes and all judges of the earth; both young men and maidens; old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.” Psalm 148:1-13.

“In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:1-3.

“Truth is the revelation of all things as they really are, from God Himself.” William Kelley, Bible expositor.

Did you know that the little tail (flagellum) that whips around behind some single cell bacteria such as E. coli, are actually run by an electric motor? No, I am not making this up (see the image set at the beginning of this post). This is serious stuff!

The flagellum can spin at speeds up to 100,000 rpm and can stop at a quarter turn and reverse direction. If you tried that with a million dollar Ferrari sports car you would learn first hand how the big bang works, not to mention the destruction to your wallet.

The motor itself is composed of 40 parts and consists of a stator, rotor, and drive shaft, etc. (like the motor in your electric fan). The question here is how can such a thing evolve?

An electric motor needs all of its parts to work. If a cell evolved with just a flagellum it would be quickly discarded as a non-productive appendage by natural selection.

The same with a rotor, it is useless without the rest of the motor, and it too would be discarded; and so on down the line with all 40 parts.

“By faith we understand that the worlds [worlds encompass all of time, space and the material world] were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” Hebrews 11:3.

This brings us to what is called, irreducible complexity; you cannot remove one part of an organism (such as the electric motor above) without it becoming useless. There are numerous examples of this in creation such as, DNA, mitochondria, or the stunning factory workhorse that is a cell’s nucleus.

All of these things were invisible and unknown when Darwin wrote “The Origin of the Species” nearly two hundred years ago. Yet science persists in pushing this archaic theory as if it were a proven fact; all the while twisting every new discovery to fit into Darwin’s mold.

Yet Darwin himself stated that if irreducible complexity could be proven, his theory of evolution would be proven false. But this statement is ignored, why?

Look up any animal or plant and while the article gives you many scientific facts they will repeatedly say this evolved millions of years ago, or over millions of years this evolved to its present state; yet they will not once tell you how that happened. That is because you are expected to simply accept it as a fact.

“I suppose the reason we leaped at The Origin of Species was because the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores.” Sir Julian Huxley, leading evolutionist.

“Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’ These are murmurers [grumblers], complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.” Jude 14-18.

The intent here is not to set forth some dazzling argument to make you abandon your beliefs, but rather to set you to thinking outside of the evolutionary box.

One is reminded of the bumper sticker that says, “Question authority”, there needs to be one that says, “Question evolution”, for you see, no one does.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6.
