Psalm 94:8-11

“They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, ‘The Lord does not see, nor does the God of Jacob understand.’” Psalm 94:6-7.

The above verses from Psalm 94:6-7, posted on 2-26-23 have been included to maintain context. We will now continue from there with Psalm 94:8-11.

“Understand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?” Psalm 94:8.

The word senseless above is translated as brutish in the Old King James Bible, and is a better descriptive word. The dictionary defines brutish as; brutal; cruel, gross; carnal, or bestial; uncivilized, or animal like.

J. Vernon McGee called them stupid in his commentary, which is one of the meanings given for brutish, but it seems that this word is a bit weak for the men being referred to in this text.

Brutal, cruel, or bestial seem like a better description of the terrorists we read about daily in the news.

Like brute beasts, bulls in a china shop, they have no appreciation for beauty, or history, and especially innocent human life; all is destroyed with equal senseless and cruel brutality.

Imagine an entire world government ruled by people like this as it will be during the tribulation.

“…and you fools, when will you be wise?” asking a fool when he will be wise is almost a rhetorical question. The fool is a lot like they say about stupidity; “You cannot fix stupid”, you cannot fix the fool either. This is especially true of the men we will start to see in the news more and more in the days to come.

“Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain, yet his foolishness will not depart from him.” Proverbs 27:22.

“Rebuke is more effective for a wise man than a hundred blows on a fool.” Proverbs 17:10.

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.” Proverbs 12:15.

“A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart.” Proverbs 18:2.

Did you know that the socialist woke folk want to edit Ian Fleming’s “James Bond” books to make them more acceptable to readers who are easily offended by things which do not meet their poorly educated standards?

I read all of the James Bond series when I was in my twenties; they are well written and entertaining. As a Christian I cannot recommend them, but Ian Fleming deserves more than to have his writing changed by some pompous opinionated fool.

“A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident.” Proverbs 14:16.

“As a dog returns to his own vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.” Proverbs 26:11.

“Let a man meet a bear robbed of her cubs, rather than a fool in his folly.” Proverbs 17:12.

“Like one who binds a stone in a sling is he who gives honor to a fool.” Proverbs 26:8.

“The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” Psalm 14:1.

Having called the fool and the senseless to Himself in Psalm 94:8; God now reasons with them pointing out the flaws in their thinking.

“He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?” Psalm 94:9.

Talk to the evolutionist and he will tell you that the eye and ear evolved so God did not plant anything.

Evolution, of course is based on a slow process of changing and then abandoning useless parts and retaining useful parts.

Simply put, the ear consists of the outer ear (which everyone can see), the ear canal, and the ear drum; in the middle ear there are only three little bones the hammer, anvil, and the stapes, which are delicately balanced, connected to each other, and highly responsive to vibration.

The hammer is attached to the eardrum and vibrates against the anvil when the eardrum moves. The anvil is connected to the stapes which is connected to the inner ear.

When the anvil vibrates against the stapes it conveys these vibrations to the inner ear which is filled with fluid and small hairs which wave around in the fluid.

Try to remember an undersea movie you have seen and how seaweed ebbed and flowed in the underwater currents, and you will get the idea. These small hairs respond to the movement of the fluid and send an impulse to the brain which interprets it as sound.

And these are not just sounds; they are distinct words, birds singing, your baby giggling, and loud rap thumping from the car passing your house.

The eye is another magnificent example of evolutionary design. According to one source our two eyes have 130 million photoreceptor cells; each of these cells is made up of 100 trillion atoms, more than there are stars in the Milky Way Galaxy.

It is amazing that these 100 trillion atoms came into alignment to form one photoreceptor cell which would be useless for anything unless 130 million other photoreceptor cells evolved with it. It might be argued that a crude light sensing eye would be the first step in the process of evolution not a full modern eye as now exists, but the chemical process of creating even a crude eye is beyond credibility.

Then there is irreducible complexity, the one thing, it has been admitted, that would prove Charles Darwin’s entire theory false.

The idea that if there is an organism with parts that had to have evolved all at once to be of use to that organism, rather than slowly, in parts, then the theory will have been disproved.

One author’s example goes like this: a mousetrap will not function with any parts missing, and the pieces of the mousetrap have no value except as parts of the whole. If the mousetrap were to have evolved, not one part of it would be useful in the evolutionary process because it needs all of its parts to function properly.

The photoreceptor cells in the eye have no function without the lens, the protective fluid within the eyeball, the optic nerve, and a brain programmed to interpret the input from the optic nerve, along with many other parts.

The mousetrap analogy comes from a book written by Michael J. Behe, “Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution”. I have not read this book, but I have looked it over and it does not seem like the kind of book that a novice would enjoy reading, however if you have a scientific mind, you might like it.

There is a DVD which is much easier to understand covering this subject, available through Focus on the Family entitled, “Unlocking the Mystery of Life”. To find the DVD go to www.family.org go to the store and type in the title above under the heading of DVD’s. As of now the cost is probably a little over twelve dollars, well worth it.

So then, the God who designed the ear to function as a whole and the eye as well, how is it that He would be deaf and blind Himself? The senseless among the people will simply say that God must approve of the things they do because He does nothing:

“An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flatters himself in his own eyes, when he finds out his iniquity and when he hates. The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has ceased to be wise and to do good.” Psalm 36:1-3.

“A senseless man does not know, nor does a fool understand this. When the wicked spring up like grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever.” Psalm 92:6-7.

The atheist uses the fabrication of evolution as a crutch so they can hate God and feel safe from retribution. The Muslim mocks Him because they consider Him to be inferior to Allah. The common man ignores Him because all of their ways are right in their own sight.

But even though men think that they will get under the radar somehow, God is considering their every motive.

“All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits.” Proverbs 16:2.

“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He ponders all his paths.” Proverbs 5:21.

“For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” 2 Corinthians 10:12.

This verse in second Corinthians is worth considering because so many of us tend to do the things that the Apostle Paul is warning us about here. We have a tendency to look at others and compare ourselves with them. Am I better than this person? Am I as holy as they are?

The problem with this sort of thinking is that all of us are flawed and if we compare ourselves with another flawed person we will always see ourselves as acceptable before God, without any need of improvement.

As society sinks morally, those we compare ourselves with sink with it, and our own morals follow.

There is only one person to compare ourselves with, and that is Jesus Christ. When we do that, our goals are always ahead of us, and as we compare ourselves with Him, we do not sink morally, but continue to excel more and more.

“He who instructs [disciplines] the nations [Gentiles], shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?” Psalm 94:10.

Egypt was once a great civilized world power, but its antagonism to Israel and horrendous idolatry led to God’s judgment; they are now a third world country with little power.

Centuries ago Africa was a thriving civilization, for a thousand years they sent out caravans of gold, works of art, ivory, and precious stones to Egypt and other places in the Middle East.

Today, thanks to centuries of witch doctors and gross idolatry, Africa is a human wrecking yard blighted with disease, and starvation. And now, demonized, genocidal communist maniacs posing as democratic governments continue to destroy her.

Spain was once a thriving empire, until they started killing Christians and Jews in the Inquisition. When their greed extended to the western hemisphere they enslaved, raped and murdered the natives of South America in the name of God. Spain has little impact on the world today.

England, still a great country, but spiraling downward as is the United States due to the abandonment of God and Israel in the governments and among the people.

History is littered with the nations that rejected God or abandoned Him. Is this fair of God? God is gracious for:

“…He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45b.

God gives ungodly men what they need, but it is their sinful natures that rob them of both the things that He gives them and the things they could produce if they were not bound by their own vile lusts.

God does chasten and discipline the nations. People have reduced God down to a little person who does not do any miracles and they have forgotten that He is the Creator of everything.

“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, measured heaven with a span and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him?” Isaiah 40:12-13.

“Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust on the scales; look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing. And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering. All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.” Isaiah 40:15-17.

The Lord hears men, He sees men, and He corrects nations, He also knows the thoughts of men, something even Satan does not know.

“The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.” Psalm 94:11.

The world’s philosophy and mindset has dragged all of mankind down into the muck. Supposedly we are descended from slime and having forced our way up the evolutionary ladder we are now the oppressors of helpless nature, making us the villains.

The death of an animal is more tragic than the death of a human. Save the whales, but kill the human babies.

Truth is now whatever the speaker sees it as, and the lie, no matter how insulting to our intelligence, is just truth as the liar sees it and equally valid.

The will of the minority takes precedence over the will of the majority; even if the majority is in the right.

This is true in the courtroom, in the classroom, in government, and in the workplace.

It is true of race, religion, and gender; the minority will always be seen as oppressed and in need of more rights than the majority.

Policemen and soldiers who are responsible for the safety of the citizens and the country are vilified; or ignored even if they are members of the minority itself.

This is all encouraged by political correctness; a philosophy straight out of the pit of hell which establishes its own righteousness contradicts Scripture and justifies criminal acts by minorities as rightful retribution.

Political correctness and Critical Race Theory have become systems so complex, so ponderous and convoluted that they confuse even their addled followers.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man!” Isaiah 5:20-23.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools…” Romans 1:18-22.

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness’; and again, ‘The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.’” 1 Corinthians 3:19-20.

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” James 3:13-17.
