“‘Our sins’; what a horrible thought for contemplation! Think of the vast accumulation of impure thoughts, of unrighteous deeds and of unkind and dishonest words. Vast as they are, we rejoice today to be assured that our glorious Savior has borne them all ‘in His own body on the tree’. In His death, He took full responsibility for our sins and answered perfectly to God for them all. Are you personally resting on Him for your eternal salvation?” G. Hall.
“I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me, you will receive instruction’ – so that her dwelling would not be cut off, despite everything for which I punished her. But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.” Zephaniah 3:7.
“Therefore wait for Me,” says the Lord, “until the day I rise up for plunder; My determination is to gather the nations to My assembly of kingdoms, to pour on them My indignation, all My fierce anger; all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of My jealousy.” Zephaniah 3:8.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 33:6-9.
“Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him. And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest that year. Now it was Caiaphas who gave counsel to the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.” John 18:12-14.
On judgment day, Jesus Christ will be seated on the great white throne of judgment, all the ungodly will stand before the throne, and all the heavenly hosts will be arrayed beside and behind Jesus, and the books will be opened.
