“But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. But early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.” John 8:1-2.
“Now after the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee. For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things He did in Jerusalem at the feast; for they also had gone to the feast.” John 4:43-45.
The woman of Samaria’s sinful lifestyle of having had five husbands and then living with another man may mislead us but her conversation shows that underneath there is an intelligent, seeking, woman.
Her sinful lifestyle should be elaborated on before continuing. Put anyone before the Lord and there will be some sin that they would not like to have brought up. It does not matter who you are, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.
Christ’s deity was discussed in “Christ at the Well, John 4:1-8”, posted on 7-5-17, though it is a subject which by far cannot be covered in so few words.
Jesus Christ is called in the Scriptures, “the Word”, (the Logos, “the express image of His [God’s] person”, Hebrews 1:3), John 1:1; “Rock”, 1 Corinthians 10:4; “Teacher”, Matthew 8:19; “Mediator”, 1 Timothy 2:5; “Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords”, 1 Timothy 6:15; “Shepherd and Overseer of your souls”, 1 Peter 2:25; “the light of the world”, John 8:12; “the resurrection and the life”, John 11:25; “I AM”, (same as YAHWEH, Exodus 3:14), John 8:58; to name a few.
