“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to licentiousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” Ephesians 4:17-19.
In the last 22 posts from Genesis chapters 3 to 11 we have seen the cycle of sin repeat itself and then become entrenched in the history of mankind; a history in which worldly men ignore the fact that God in Christ is woven into the very fabric of this powerful narrative, His story.
Sin entered through Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden; Cain murdered his brother Abel.
Then Cain was banished to a land east of Eden where he sired a godless race which soon enveloped the entire world before the flood; wherein only eight souls survived, Noah and his family.
The second cycle started some years after the flood when many, if not all of Noah’s descendants followed Nimrod, the mighty hunter, to the plain of Shinar where they began to build a city with a tower reaching to the heavens, lest they be scattered throughout the earth, in direct disobedience of God’s command to multiply and fill the earth.
The second cycle was crippled and extended when God confused the languages of the builders of the city and tower dispersing them throughout the world, the city’s name became Babel, now called Babylon located in Iraq.
“God who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’” Acts 17:24-28.
We are now approaching the end of the second cycle which is rapidly reaching its tipping point, and will cause God again to step in with another worldwide cataclysm called the tribulation.
To find the things which doom a nation or a civilization we need only to look through the Scriptures regarding Israel. In some of these verses the northern kingdom of Israel is referred to as Ephraim which was the largest of the ten tribes called Israel; while the southern kingdom is called Judah referring to the entire southern kingdom.
Israel was a single nation from the time of King David, see 2 Samuel 5:1-5, until the death of King Solomon.
However, Solomon’s son Rehoboam stupidly bungled his task as leader of the nation by not agreeing to some reasonable requests made by the leaders of the soon to be, Northern kingdom. As a result Rehoboam’s kingdom was divided shortly after he took office in 930 B.C.
“Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, ‘Because you have done this [worshipped idols], and have not kept My covenant and My statues, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.’” 1 Kings 11:11.
With this in mind let us look at some of the things that both the northern kingdom and southern kingdom of Israel did to bring horrendous judgments upon themselves.
God does not change, if the things that Israel did, a nation He referred to as His wife, brought judgment upon them, our nation can surely expect no less.
“And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and the fatherless, and against those who turn away an alien – because they do not fear Me,” says the Lord of hosts. “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.” Malachi 3:5-6.
When He said I change not; therefore you are not consumed, God is referring to His immutability, He swore to Abraham that his descendants would be as the stars in the heaven, see Genesis 15.
And in Abraham’s seed, Genesis 22:16-18, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.
Abraham’s Seed was Jesus Christ; the genealogy from Abraham to Jesus Christ is given in Matthew 1:1-17, and again in Luke 3:23-38 from Jesus Christ backward to the beginning.
The promised Seed who is Christ is repeated to Isaac and to Jacob in Genesis 26:3-4 and 28:10-17; then the Apostle Peter reminds the Jews of Christ the Seed in his sermon in Acts 3:1-26.
God’s promises will stand no matter what the provocation, but do not think for a moment that the perpetrators will not reap what they sow; even hell-fire for the unrepentant.
God tells us in Malachi 3 that He is against sorcerers; but I tell you abortion is a part of sorcery and witchcraft! You may if you wish call me any kind of name from stupid, to ignorant, to Christian right wing terrorist, but it will not alter the facts.
And when you witness witches and sorcerers standing before God on judgment day you will hear the word abortion throughout the proceedings and stories of horrific child sacrifice mentioned throughout the ages of man.
God is against adulterers this nation is a nation of adulterers. It is encouraged and glorified in movies and books.
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:27-28.
This statement means women too. If only the media would focus on the carnage caused by adultery; the deaths, disease, ruined marriages, children torn apart by divorce, and the heartbreak of being betrayed by the one you love and trust.
Trust is gone, Hollywood has made sure of that with their multiple marriages, pre-nuptials, and their explosive, highly publicized affairs held up for the world to see. The word Hollywood will be heard many times on judgment day.
God is against perjurers. A day does not go by but that we hear of perjury before congress; whether it is by the Internal Revenue Service, the so-called Fast and Furious gun running, or the torture, mutilation, and murder of four innocent men deserted at Ben Ghazi.
Whether it is the president, congress, the senate, state legislatures, Department of Justice, Department of Veterans Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, or the Supreme Court’s giving credence to liars when they should have them jailed. Citizens have become weary and without hope.
If the media did not cover up, color the facts, or outright lie, all of which are lies in one form or another; it is propaganda really, many of these lies would not be successful.
I used to feel sorry for the Russians because Tass or Pravda was their only news source; citizens only had the government’s slant.
However, today impartial journalism is dead and the American people are most to be pitied because the media spreads nothing but useless cotton candy fluff, lies, and the doctrines of demons.
Citizens have become weary, misinformed, and without hope. One can only wonder if the all powerful, omnipotent God would not grow numb repeating the words liar, and perjurer on judgment day.
God is against those who exploit wage earners. Unions are just as responsible for exploitation as big business. They go on strike, and while the worker gets almost nothing during this time the union does not cease to draw salaries.
Then when the strike is settled the wage earner has to catch up while the union leadership reaps greater benefits while making no sacrifice of their own.
Unions long ago forgot the wage earner and became a money making scheme of their own. They collect, union benefits that should go to the worker, to pay off politicians to endow them with even more power.
Big business is little better, in fact it is the reason unions began, to keep them from exploiting the worker.
Many years ago the owners of coal mines would have their miners in the shafts 12 hours a day 6 days a week, meaning that they rarely saw the light of day or their families.
This is little different from the Conquistadors who enslaved the natives of South America and worked them to death in the mines digging for gold, only they never saw the light of day, they died down there.
Mankind is incredibly ruthless and cruel, and he will take every advantage that he can to enrich himself at the expense of another. But God sees and He will avenge, He never forgets, and men will account for every evil deed as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow.
“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” Revelation 20:12.
None of the small and great will have their name in the book of life because these are all the ungodly that have rejected God’s offer of salvation from the beginning of time.
It is not meant for government to cater to greedy landowners, big business, or unions.
One of the four things and only four things that government is designed for is to provide a place for honest work; meaning equity for both business and the worker.
The other three purposes of government are: the government is to maintain order, administer justice, defend the country from invasion, and again the fourth is, to provide a place for honest work.
The government in no way has the right to foment insurrection in another country, lie to its citizens, take money from them and give it to illegal aliens or to other governments to curry favor, or to waste it on frivolous programs, nor should government form agencies with no accountability like the NSA, EPA, IRS, OSHA, or kowtow to the rich, powerful and famous.
Yet, not just America, but all of the world’s governments are run by men and women who have little concern about their country, and every concern about their own power and wealth.
“Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainty of corruption by authority.”
Lord Acton.
Corruption, self aggrandizement, and a sick ideology are the driving force behind a move toward a one world government; a godless government that is anti-Christian, anti-Jew, and most of all, as before the flood, anti-God. They will get more than they bargained for.
“And it was granted to him [the beast, 666] to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear.” Revelation 13:7-9.
