Liar, Liar!

“These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19.

Though phrased in this manner, these verses mean that there are seven things which are an abomination to the Lord God.

“…one who sows discord among brethren”, this discord can be within a Christian community, among natural relations such as families or friends, or a civil society.

The best examples today are the American politician and media the majority of whom are working tirelessly to, “…sow discord among brethren”, by provoking race hatred to destroy our civil society for their own greedy and power-hungry benefit.

For extra credit, look up Machiavellian politics. These men and women are described in Proverbs 6:12-15 see below.

However, they are all an abomination, and anyone, including Christians, who commit such acts, is doing something which is an abomination to God. Anyone who does all seven of them will find himself headed for an early grave.

“A worthless person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth; he winks with his eyes, he shuffles his feet, he points with his fingers; perversity is in his heart, he devises evil continually, he sows discord. Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly; suddenly he shall be broken [shattered] without remedy.” Proverbs 6:12-15.

Read the seven abominations carefully, you may recognize some American politicians who are in office and some who are running for office who have committed all seven abominations.

If America continues to support evil people like this, they will be supporting men and women who are seven times an abomination to God, bringing this nation into agreement with them, and under a curse from God.

It is up to the Christian to oppose wicked people like this by praying, voting, and giving out the gospel. We are the salt of the earth period.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16.

Who is a worthless person a wicked man? King Ahab filled the bill quite well, but his wife Queen Jezebel surpassed him.

King Ahab desired a certain vineyard owned by a man named Naboth, but since it was Naboth’s family’s inheritance he refused to sell. Because of this refusal Ahab went home and sulked.

Jezebel seeing this asked him what was wrong. Her response then was to tell the king, “…I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.”

“And she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. She wrote in the letters, saying, ‘Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people; and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying, “You have blasphemed God and the king.” Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die.” 1 Kings 21:8-10.

“Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.” 1 Kings 21:13c.

There are so many things wrong with this that one would vomit. Seating a man with high honor; would it not have been enough to invite him to this gathering?

Yet they made him feel highly esteemed; the pats on the back, the compliments; then surely within the hour they dragged him outside the city and murdered him. How would you feel? How utterly demonic is this?

Scoundrels bore witness against him, scoundrels, sons of Belial as they are often referred to.

Do not be deceived my friends, scoundrels are in existence today and they can be vicious and treacherous. These too are worthless persons, wicked men, and among those who commit the seven abominations before God.

It is my feeling that the American people tend to believe sincere appearing folks, whether in Christian circles, teachers, college professors, or among some politicians.

Noble, ardent, sincere appearing people who gain our trust, but their hearts are devoted to their agendas only.

“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Colossians 2:8.

One droll person, I do not know who, once said, “Sincerity is one of the most trusted of emotions. Once you can fake that you’ve got it made.” They have no idea how true that statement is.

Again, as for the stoning of Naboth, it was the nobles and the elders of the city who set the stage for him to be murdered. These were trusted men who should have stood up to such evil rather than murder one of their own innocent citizens.

“Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none.” Matthew 26:59-60a.

Sounds a bit like Naboth, does it not? The city’s leadership against him, liars condemn him, and the entire town has a hand in his stoning. Naboth was a man.

Jesus is the Son of God and it is the representatives of the entire nation who seek false witness against Him. The nation of Israel is represented by the religious leaders, chief priests, the civic leaders, the elders, and the legal system, the council, and finally the people themselves.

“Pilate said to them, ‘What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?’ They [the Jewish multitude] all said to him, ‘Let Him be crucified!’” Matthew 27:22.

“And all the people answered and said, ‘His blood be on us and on our children.’” Matthew 27:25.

Worthless men, wicked men, men who were seven times an abomination to God, men reputed to be pious men of God, leaders among the people, and righteous judges.

Men with a proud look, look down with disdain upon those they supposedly serve.

“Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him [Jesus]? But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” John 7:48-49.

A lying tongue: a deceitful person who practices lying.

“Pilate then went out to them and said, ‘What accusation do you bring against this Man?’ They answered and said to him, ‘If He were not an evildoer [a criminal], we would not have delivered Him up to you.’” John 18:29-30.

Hands that shed innocent blood are an abomination.

“Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, ‘Crucify Him, crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, ‘You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.’” John 19:6.

The heart that devises wicked plans is an abomination.

“Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.” Matthew 26:3-4.

Feet that are swift in running to evil are an abomination to God.

“… [Judas] said, ‘What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?’ And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.” Matthew 26:15-16.

A false witness, who speaks lies to the harm of another, even swears to their lies.

“For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, ‘We heard Him say, “I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.”’ But not even then did their testimony agree.” Mark 14:56-59.

And the seventh abomination: one who sows discord among brethren.

“Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, ‘Could this be the Son of David [the Christ]?’ Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.’” Matthew 12:22-24.

Of the seven abominations, lying is mentioned twice, and implied a third time because “…one who sows discord among brethren” is likely to be a liar.

There is the lie of socialism and communism which promises a Utopian society like New York City with peace and a complete lack of want for all.

But the sin nature has always guaranteed the failure of these murderous godless systems. Yet for all their endless failures they continue to tear the world apart.

Lying has sown discord among the nations for centuries. And it is the continual lying by the media and governments which deny the threat that Islam, communism and open borders present.

And now the threat of the New World Order with its “great reset”. Concocted by a group of reprobate billionaires and trillionaires to usurp the sovereignty of all the nations of the world.

Ironically, folks seem to like to be lied to, to be deceived.

“For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face.” 2 Corinthians 11:20.

But lying has a long term, horrific result, as those who believed the blasphemous lie concerning Jesus’ resurrection from the dead on that Sunday morning demonstrates.

“And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.” Matthew 28:2-4.

“… behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, ‘Tell them, “His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.” And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.’ So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.” Matthew 28:11-15.

These lying worthless persons, these wicked men, walk with a perverse mouth, “Tell the people the disciples came and stole the body while we slept.”

They wink the eye, “Here is some money, a great deal of money!” They shuffle their feet, they point with their fingers, “We will cover for you if the governor hears of it.”

With perversity in their hearts, they deny the testimony of eye witnesses, “We saw an angel and an empty tomb!”

They devise evil continually, they sow discord, and therefore this lie is commonly reported among the Jews to this day (even 2000 years later).

As a result, their calamity will come suddenly, suddenly they will be shattered, and that without remedy!

“A worthless person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth; he winks with his eyes, he shuffles his feet, he points with his fingers; perversity is in his heart, he devises evil continually, he sows discord. Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly; suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.” Proverbs 6:12-15.

“He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” Proverbs 29:1.

Many Jews and Gentiles have died in their sins over the years because they believed this treacherous lie.

“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8.

The liar should not have any position of authority in the church, in government, in business, in the school room, or in the institutions of higher learning, either as professors or as board members, for they are an abomination in the likeness of Satan himself.

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” John 8:44.

Christian, seek those things which are above, not the lying things which are on this earth.

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds…” Colossians 3:1-9.
