During a recent conversation, a man I know stated that, “God was disappointed with Adam and Eve in the garden.” That is to say that God was disappointed that they ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” Genesis 3:6.
“Likewise you husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.” 1 Peter 3:7.
When God confronted Adam and Eve after their sin in the Garden of Eden, see Genesis 3:1-24, He pronounced a series of curses and punishments; within this God made reference to the coming Christ who was to take away the sin of the world.
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” I John 3:2.
