“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.  And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:1-6.

My friends there is a day coming when the things described above will come to pass. It is my desire to show you some of the Biblical prophecies that will most assuredly come to pass. But, first let us examine the most exciting prophecy for the Christian here and now.

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18.

The very first line of the above passage describes whom God is speaking to, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again…”, Christians, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior from sin will be taken out of this world before the seven horrific years of the tribulation will begin.

“…even so God will bring with Him those who sleep [dead] in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.” 1 Thessalonians 4:14b-15.

This is a guarantee that Christians will see their deceased loved ones because we shall “be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.”

When all of the Christians are removed from the earth God will lift His hand of protection from the earth and men will finally be able to rule the world in the way they see fit.

By God’s grace, we are getting a little taste of what mankind will be like when they are free to do things their way.

Today, we are having daily riots, wars, pandemic crime including, murders, rapes, pedophilia, kidnappings, child sex trade, illegal drugs, and unending lies from the media, politicians and any liberal on a soap box.

Again, I repeat, this is only the beginning of sorrows, if you are not a Christian now, the time to decide is now because these signs show how near we are to the removal of all the Christians from the earth. After that the world will be plunged into chaos.

“Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.’” Matthew 24:3-8.

“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” This sentence shows us that the end is close, because the words “nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” is a reference not only to war, it is a reference to world war, even Jewish rabbis agree with this interpretation, and historians tell us that World War 1 and World War 2 have already occurred with World War 2 being a continuation of World War 1.

With the prophesied World Wars having ended some 80 years ago, let us give heed to the rest of this passage, “And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

Famines and pestilences are a natural adjunct to war, if you have a war, expect them.

Communism, however, is the greatest cause of famines in the twentieth and twentieth-first centuries.

The Ethiopian famine of 1983-1985 was by far caused by various factions at war with one another. Many farmers were driven off their lands causing food shortages.

Food such as wheat that was donated to the starving was stolen and ground into flour and sold to places like Kenya.

Ethiopia is a fertile land that can more than take care of its own, but the wretchedest people govern the country, and the vilest of men destroy it with constant warfare without any pity for people who just want to live and raise their families.

In all fairness there are droughts which keep the crops from coming. But it is the communists and the wanton destruction of war lords, evil beasts who starve the people by taking the little food they have for themselves.

Ethiopia by the way, appears to be headed for another famine soon. Do not be alarmed though, the rich Ethiopians will not suffer any lack of food or goods.

The rich never suffer lack, even in the worst parts of the coming tribulation. God shows us this in Revelation chapter 6 where He reveals the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. In this case we will only be concerned with the third horse:

“When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come and see.’ And I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.’” Revelation 6:5-6.

The first thing we see is a black horse which represents famine, next, the person seated on the horse holds scales which represent commerce, and the function of scales is to weigh out food purchased. The denarius was a day’s wages for a workman.

Under normal circumstances a denarius would buy 8 quarts of wheat, but due to the famine conditions of the tribulation a day’s wages would only buy one quart, the equivalent of a loaf of bread.

“…and do not harm the oil and the wine.” Since the poor could barely afford a loaf of bread they could only dream of having oil and wine. No, this last phrase means that the rich are still rich and can afford not only food, but also the delicacies of life.

Before leaving this prophecy let us consider the words “And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.”, we have seen famines so let us continue with pestilences. The dictionary defines the word pestilence as producing plague, or some other malignant disease.

We have already encountered many historical pestilences such as the Black Death (1347-1351) known as bubonic plague which cropped up on other occasions during the Dark Ages, and the Spanish flu (1918-1920) just after World War 1, Killing 21 million people worldwide.

However, the modern world has experienced the covid-19 plague which was likely leaked from the Wuhan labs in China where it was part of a “gain of function” experiment. Gain of function is a euphemism for biological weapons research, which is illegal in this country.

Although biological weapons research is illegal in this country there are allegations that the Wuhan research was funded with our taxpayer money.

This was catastrophic worldwide when folks were forced to stay home during this period, killing many small businesses, closing schools, shutting down free speech, forcing people to wear masks, and making them stand 6 feet apart in lines.

If that were not enough pharmaceutical firms made untested drugs available to the populace, most of which contained dangerous chemicals that attacked the heart, DNA, and reproductive organs, creating spontaneous abortions, birth defects, and heart problems for children. We lost many young athletes to heart problems.

This despite the availability of over-the-counter drugs which are cheap and effective against covid-19. Government officials took these drugs off the counter to force folks to take the unproven jab, often more than once.

All unnecessary rules created by propagandists for the globalists who wish to bring the world under their control.

There will be no one to rescue the world population during the seven years of tribulation.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” Matthew 24:21-22.

The tribulation will be so horrible that if it were not for those who accepted Jesus as their Savior (the elect) during the tribulation, not one human would have survived.

“…but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” The tribulation will be ended when Jesus Christ returns to take this earth over and rule it for a thousand years.

“…when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe because our testimony among you was believed.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7b-10.

When Jesus returns at this time, He will remove all the godless evil doers who have polluted the earth and set up His kingdom of righteousness for a thousand years. The New Earth, which we will examine next.
