How often have you witnessed to an unbeliever and had them challenge you by saying, “How can you be so arrogant to say that there is only one God – your God!”

There is a quick and easy answer to this question. It is not I but God who claims to be the one and only God. And the God who cannot lie says this not once, but many times.

“Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:22.

God tells us there is no other, and He calls all of mankind to turn to Him and be saved, not only their souls spiritually but turn to Him to learn the truth.

What is the truth? The greatest truth is that Jesus Christ, God’s Son gave His life on the cross to pay for the sins of all mankind. And those who hear this truth and accept Christ’s gift for them become children of the living God.

Another truth that men reject is God’s declaration that He created everything without exception through His eternal Son Jesus Christ.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:1-3.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten [Jesus Christ] of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14.

When God says, “I am God, and there is no other.” The meaning is that God consists of the entire Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God is One and there is no other.

This being the case, if you believe the things stated above are true, then it means that the entire Godhead took part in the creation of the heavens and the earth, literally everything.

“For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, who is God, who formed the earth and made it, who has established it, who did not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lord, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:18.

This is one of a myriad number of Scriptures which tell us about God’s creation of everything. God does not tell us that the earth is flat nor is it the center of the universe with the sun revolving around it.

God has told us that the earth is hung on nothing, Job 26:7-14, He has told us that air has weight, air pressure discovered hundreds of years later, Job 28:24-25, and there are paths through the sea, sea lanes, Psalm 8:4-8. There are many other science facts and prophecies which have come true in the Scriptures.

“I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me…” Isaiah 45:6.

God continually tells us that there is no other God, but the devil deceives men by telling them that there are other gods that they should worship and demons energize these false gods in an attempt to drag men off to hell with them. Demons tempt folks by offering them things that appeal to the flesh but that is the way to the pit of hell.

“What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.” 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

Men wholeheartedly participate in the act of propagating these devilish gods to deceive men, and to gain power and profit from their unwitting followers.

“These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves; they are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” Jude 1:12-13.

Those who follow these corrupt individuals are led into an ever-spiraling descent into a world that makes no sense and a life that becomes meaningless.

“They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.” Psalm 106:37-38.

Children, given up by their parents to be burned to death in the arms of some demonic idol just so they can have good crops or some such thing. Things which the living God of all the earth would have given for free if they had just turned to Him.

Men today think we have evolved beyond such archaic practices, but mankind has a sin nature which is the same in all generations.

The sin nature is what all the children of Adam and Eve have inherited throughout all generations and is, with the provocation of the demonic world around us the author of all wars, murders, lies, tortures, perversions, sex crimes, hatreds, and the list goes on.

“That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been ancient times before us.” Ecclesiastes 1:9-10.

The cynic will say, “That’s wrong, we have computers, cars, airplanes, etc.” Yes, that is true, but the statement above deals with human nature, sin, and crime, both good things and bad things done by mankind, torture, deceit, evil done to the poor, orphaned, widowed, as well as good done to the poor, orphaned, and widowed.

“Truly, this only I have found: That God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.” Ecclesiastes 7:29.

Modern man thinks mankind is improving because evolution tells us that things can be improved if we just get rid of sickness and disease, and people who do not fit in. As a result, it would be obvious that past generations would be inferior to this generation.

Eugenics is a theory that man’s evolution can be guided by selective breeding. Abortion and euthanasia are also ways of reaching the goal of a super race of genetically altered individuals.

However, today many people do not believe in eugenics, especially when you consider that it would require a totalitarian government to force this sort of experimentation to become widespread on the earth.

But it does give many godless individuals a good excuse to deny the existence of a Creator God, and an even better excuse to persecute Christians.

Even now the world is reeling under the influx of godless individuals who will riot for money, scream, spit on officers, and do great bodily harm to them, including pointing lasers into their eyes.

All this to protect murderers, pedophiles, rapists, and thieves from being arrested. All this with the local government’s complete approval, leading to more lawlessness.

There is coming a day when all Christians will be taken out of this world (the rapture) and these godless mobs will be allowed to do whatever they want to, including joining all the criminals they protect today.

This terrible period of time is called the tribulation, and it will last for 7 years. It will be a time of idolatrous practices which will make all other practices pale in comparison, God and Jesus will be blasphemed throughout this time.

Then halfway through the tribulation (3½ years) a man called the Antichrist will rise up and sit in God’s temple and claim to be God.

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalians 2:3-4

So, mankind goes from denying the Creator God to worshipping a man.

The world will worship this man-god for another 3½ years and instead of peace, he will bring war, death, and incredible misery. His end will come when the Lord Jesus returns to rule the world Himself for a thousand years.

There will no longer be a man who says there is no God because Jesus Christ will be seated on a throne before all men.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10.
