“Then Jonathan [King Saul’s son] said to the young man who bore his armor, ‘Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.’ So his armorbearer said to him, ‘Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.’ Then Jonathan said, ‘Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them.’” 1 Samuel 14:6-8.
“Blessed are the undefiled [blameless] in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart!” Psalm 119:1-2.
“Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law. I am a stranger in the earth; do not hide Your commandments from me.” Psalm 119:18-19.
During the Sermon on the Mount the Lord Jesus gave us a model for prayer, it goes as follows.
“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:9-15.
