“… [Gentiles] who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ…” Ephesians 4:19-20.
“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you also once walked when you lived in them.” Colossians 3:5-7.
“These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him [Lit. to His soul]: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19.
“Now it happened, as He went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath, that they watched Him closely.” Luke 14:1.
How do we know what is good? The Bible tells us that God is good; in fact it speaks of His goodness throughout Scripture.
“For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:5.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26.
