“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100:1-3.

The above has been retained for context. We will now pickup at Psalm 100:4-5.

“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4.

Then, as now, always, always enter church with thanksgiving. When you count your blessings and give thanks, praise thankfulness and the blessing of His name will come from the heart.

I realize that often this is nearly impossible to do due to some terrible crisis or another. I have failed numerous times to do so and will probably continue to fail at times.

But as much as lies within us we must attempt to give thanks for even the smallest things.

Thankfulness brings praise which can lift your spirits out of the muck of despair and will continue to do so as long as you fix your eyes on Jesus.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Every Christian should have this verse in their heart because during a crisis no one can tell you this.

This verse must be in your heart so the Holy Spirit can remind you of it in a manner that is genuine without sounding condescending.

“For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:5.

The psalms continually speak of the goodness of God, his everlasting mercy, and enduring truth and the lives of countless Christians prove these truths daily.

“Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” Psalm 145:6-9.

It is not God who creates the chaos that has entered our lives which we see around us, it is man in rebellion against Him.

This has been a pretty gloomy post for a psalm that is about thanksgiving during the millennial reign of Christ, so let us quickly review and hopefully end on a better note.

As stated earlier, this is a psalm for all the ages, yet it is specifically for those in the millennium.

The setting is a time of great joy, the tribulation is over the devil and his army is imprisoned, the beast and false prophet are in the lake of fire for eternity, and all sinful men who have rejected Christ to follow the Antichrist are in hell awaiting judgment day.

No one is left to persecute believers.

The survivors of the tribulation are a battered lot, most, if not all have lost everything including friends, spouses, or children in the holocaust, having been hunted, starved, raped, tortured, and beheaded if caught by a world gone mad and driven by demons.

If you are following the Muslim atrocities in the Middle East you have a good idea of what this will be like on a worldwide scale.

We ourselves are witnesses to absolute lawlessness in the streets, murders, child sex trafficking, rampant pedophilia, perverting and mutilation of school children as if they were lab rats. Pray for our children, pray for an end of these wicked people who prey on others, pray for the gospel of Jesus Christ to fill the earth!

Man made pathogens such as the Wuhan virus with a new, improved version supposedly on the way. These pathogens are created through what is called, Gain-of-function, which is a harmless name for the creation of biological weapons.

When the Lord came down and looked at the tower of Babel in Genesis chapter 11, He said the following and divided the people’s languages:

“And the Lord said, ‘Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them…’” Genesis 11:6.

We are again approaching a time when “nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them”. It is time for God to take action again and it likely begins with the rapture.

All of these things are facilitated by our complicit and horrendously corrupt federal and state governments. Please pray that, whether by the rapture or through a miraculous intervention evil is crushed.

If you understand these things, you will be able to imagine the complete elation, the joy of knowing evil has been conquered permanently.

To watch the sky turn from black to blue again and the stars reappear, to feel lush green grass under your feet again. And watch crystal clear streams of water flow into the rivers once more.

Safe to walk anywhere at night, no more robbers, rapists, gangs, or dangerous animals, no more metal detectors, security guards, no more armies, no more wars, no end to peace at all.

No more disease, deformity, blindness, deafness, no more starvation, beauty has replaced desolation. Now the world can truly say peace and safety.

Who would not make a joyful shout throughout the lands! Who would not serve the Lord Jesus with gladness and come before His presence with singing.

The whole earth will know the Lord is God. Everyone will know that they have what they have and are what they are because it is God who made them into new creatures in Christ Jesus.

All will know that their shepherd, Jesus will care for them forever.

Not one person will enter the gates of the Lord with nothing to give thanks for, nor will they enter His courts without praise from their hearts with thankfulness and a blessing on their lips for Jesus their Savior.

All the earth, from the greatest to the least will know that the Lord is good, that His mercy is everlasting, and they will have seen that His truth endures to all generations. Praise the Lord, all you who love Him!
