“Now as they heard these things, He [Jesus] spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Therefore He said: ‘A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, “Do business till I come.” But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We will not have this man to reign over us.” And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.’” Luke 19:11-15.
On judgment day, Jesus Christ will be seated on the great white throne of judgment, all the ungodly will stand before the throne, and all the heavenly hosts will be arrayed beside and behind Jesus, and the books will be opened.
In John chapter 12 the Lord spoke to a crowd about His impending death by crucifixion, saying that He will be lifted up, signifying to them His manner of death.
“The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved! The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awesome name – He is holy.” Psalm 99:1-3.
