“These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him [Lit. to His soul]: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies [even under oath], and one who sows discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19.
“For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame – who set their mind on earthly things. “For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.” Psalm 37:10-15.
“But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream.” Amos 5:24.
The dictionary defines justice as, among other things, “The maintenance or administration of that which is just; also, merited reward or punishment; the principal of rectitude and just dealing of men with each other”.
